Sothys skin care products offers a complete Sothys treatment line for Face, Body, and Sun Care. Sothys cosmetics has a dedicated team of European pharmacists, chemist and estheticians who helped develop product line. Sothys brand image is recognized in over 55 years experience in beauty salons and spas.

Sothys was a beauty institute in Paris in 1946, where a list of exclusive customers enjoyed fine French products created by Dr. Hotz, a medical biologist.

Sothys opened the doors to the United States market in the late 1970's. Here, under the direction of an esthetician, Mr. Christian Garces, Sothys continued its mark of excellence by bringing its French traditions to the American woman.

Today the company enjoys a profitable and large market share. The commercial dynamism of the company, along with an experienced and efficient team, make Sothys a bright star in the industry.

Sothys skin care serums and intensive care products, emulsions, and creams, has been industry-renowned for more than 50 years. Sothys biotechnology is based on plant and marine proteins, natural enzymes, and aromatic extracts.

Sothys formulations are non-comedogenic and do not contain any crude alcohol's or animal extracts. Sothys does not test on animals. Sothys specializes in the intensive treatment of dehydrated skin, photo-aged skin, as well as offering the only complete dedicated line for fragile capillaries and sensitive/reactive skin.

Skin Care Tip:

Cream / Makeup Tip: Fresh look makeup

I have found that my makeup application goes best when I follow this routine. I apply my moisturizer on a still damp face after cleansing (no painting a dirty canvas ladies!) Then while moisturizer and face are still damp I apply my foundation and concealer. The moisture from the moisturizer helps my makeup to blend smoothly without clumping in lines, creases, or large pores. An added benefit is that I can apply my makeup without pulling or dragging my skin (less wrinkles in coming years!) Next, I allow my foundation/concealer to "set" before I applying any powder-based makeup. Finally I set my whole look with either translucent or bronzing powder. As a result, I get dewy, fresh, sun-kissed, natural-looking painlessly applied makeup!

Cream / Makeup Tip: Widen the look of your eyes

To widen the look of your eyes, use a white Kohl eyeliner on the inside rim of your eyes. This is available in drug stores for $5 or less. Following this application, apply a darker eyeliner shade (such as brown or black) to the bottom outer rim of your eye and extend the line slightly upward (smudge a little). Then apply mascara to both your top and bottom eyelashes. The result of this will be that your eyes will have the appearance of being wider and you will appear more alert. I always get a compliment on how alert I look.

Cream / Makeup Tip: Lining eyes with eyeshadow

Instead of using eyeliner to highlight the eyes, you can use eyeshadow and get a very precise line that makes the eyes pop.

Use a dark shade of eye shadow and an angled brush. You can use cosmetic brushes, but craft brushes work just as well.

Wet the brush thoroughly, get some powder on both sides of the wet brush. Apply shadow using dabbing motions along lower lid just below the eyelashes.

The angle of the brush allows for very precise placement of the color.

Do the same thing for upper lids. This gives you a long-lasting narrow band of color with more precision than you can get with even the sharpest eye pencil, yet looks more natural than liquid eyeliner.

Easy to do, looks great. I was able to use eyeshadows I had around that were too dark as an overall shade for my lids, but great as liners.

Skin Care Tip: glowing skin

If you have self tanner and a daily moisturizer, there's no need to ever use bronzer. Just mix a dollop of your self tanner in with your moisturizer and you'll see a subtle, sunkissed glow appear. If you do this every day the color will build a little each day, subtly and gradually. Or you can do it infrequently to give your skin a hit of color on a winter day you are feeling particularly pale. Just mix a squirt of self tanner in with your usual moisturizer and apply as you normally would. You will get a subtle self tanning benefit, but the build will be slower and more gradual than if you applied just the self tanner.
